Vickie Sue Yankee, a gentle soul whose kindness and generosity knew no bounds, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, at her home in Springport, Michigan. She was born on January 16, 1960, in Flint, Michigan, Vickie illuminated the lives of all who had the privilege to know her, from her closest family members to the cherished friends she gathered around her.
A proud graduate of Atherton High School, Vickie’s life was marked by a dedication to her passions and an unwavering love for her family. Throughout her life, she cultivated deep connections with those around her, embodying a spirit of warmth that was a testament to her kind and loving personality. Those fortunate enough to share in her journey will remember her for her generous heart; she never hesitated to lend a helping hand or extend compassion to those in need. Vickie’s proudest accomplishment was her family, a circle of love and support that thrived under her unwavering commitment and affection.
In her leisure time, Vickie found joy in activities that allowed her to express her creativity and gather moments of happiness. She spent countless hours sewing, sharing each stitch with love and intention, as well as indulging her passion for antiquing and shopping—often delighting in these experiences with her beloved girls. Her heart was often found in Bible study, where her faith continued to guide her through life’s many chapters.
Vickie is survived by her husband of 35 years, Paul; children, Derek (Andrea) Harris of Marshall, Krystal (Andrew) Rademacher of Olivet, Kelly Yankee of Battle Creek, Jennifer (Dominic) Iocca of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Sebastian Floyd, Alex Floyd, Makenzie Scanlon, Cameron Iocca, Jackson Iocca; beloved dogs, Teddy and Tillie; sister, Sherri (Mike) Reever; and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Vickie's wishes, cremation has taken place and services may me held at a later date.
