Rolaine Kay Carrier

Rolaine Kay Carrier, a beloved member of the Albion community, passed away peacefully into Eternal Rest on October 30, 2025, at the age of 87. Born in Albion, Michigan, on December 23, 1937, to Roy and Orpha, Rolaine dedicated her life to nurturing those around her and made a significant impact through her career and family life.

Rolaine graduated from Albion High School with the class of 1955 and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree from Albion College after staying home to raise Jeff and Gina while they were young. She then worked as a teacher for the Albion Public Schools, shaping the lives of countless students with her kindness and dedication.

Throughout her life, Rolaine was known for her loving and giving nature. She and her husband, Kent, whom she married shortly after high school, created a warm and welcoming home filled with love. They shared many adventures, including several years living in Germany while Kent served in the United States Army. Their bond was strong, and they were soulmates in every sense until Kent's passing in 2011.

Her legacy continues through her family. Rolaine is survived by her son, Jeffrey Carrier, and her daughter, Gina (Mike) Loveless. She leaves behind three grandchildren, Brittany Carrier, Kameron Loveless, and Alexander Loveless, as well as four great-grandchildren, Makaila, Benjamin, Axell, and Lainey. Rolaine is also remembered by her brother, Paul Wagoner, her brother-in-law, Dave Carrier, and her nephew, David (Patti) Wagoner, and niece, Jennifer (Josh) Schilling and numerous extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kent Carrier; and her sister-in-law, Linda Wagoner.

Following Rolaine’s wishes, there will be a celebration of life at a later time.
