Phoebie Marie Wight, age 79, of Bellevue, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence in Battle Creek. She was born January 7, 1942, in Boston, Texas the daughter of Harm and Ella Honeycut. On May 23, 1967, she married Paul M. Wight in Dallas, Texas. Phoebie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed traveling with Paul throughout the country, visiting casinos, fishing, watching fireworks, and spending time with her many cats. Phoebie was a devoted member of the Kalamo United Methodist Church for many years. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Paul; children: Patricia Brown of Coldwater, Tommy Wight of Bellevue, Dale Wight of Olivet; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and brother, Marvin Honeycut. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debra Judy, grandson, Ronnie Stoudt; and brother, Perry Honeycut. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 3 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. at the funeral home just prior to the service. Burial will follow at Kalamo Hillside Cemetery. Those desiring, may make contributions in Phoebie’s honor to the family.
