June Marie Campanile, age 95, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 25, 2026. She was born October 20, 1930, in Lake Odessa, Michigan the daughter of Victor and Ellen Marlow.
Throughout her ninety-five years, June embodied the quiet strength and enduring spirit of her generation. Born in Lake Odessa and raised near Mulliken, where her family owned and operated the general store in Hoytville. She witnessed a changing world with grace and resilience. Her journey through life was marked by kindness and an unwavering sense of dignity that touched all who had the privilege to know her.
June worked the majority of her career as a mail clerk for the US Postal Service. In her spare-time she enjoyed antiquing, attending flea markets, and craft shows. Above all her greatest joy in life was her family. She adored them all but was especially fond of her 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Campanile; daughter, Barbara Voorhees; and brother, Donald (Doris) Marlow.
June is survived by her children: Sharon (Tom) King, James (Cay) Warner, Karen (Doug Wilson) Wise; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, John Voorhees; and brother, Richard (Nyasha) Marlow.
In keeping with June's wishes cremation will take place and no services will be held.
