James Allen Halsey

James Allen Halsey, age 71, of Lansing, passed away on October 2, 2026, at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital. He was born on March 8, 1955, in Fort Hood, Texas, the son of Keith and Pauline (Schadler) Halsey. Jim went on to graduate from Olivet High School and later earned his Bachelors Degree in criminal justice. 

Jim will be remembered as a loving and caring man with a heart of gold. He served his country in the United States Army, a part of his life that reflected his sense of duty and commitment. In his personal life, he found joy in the things he loved most. He loved his cats, enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, and had a deep love for sports, especially the Detroit Red Wings.

Jim is survived by his wife, Nancy; sons: James Allen Halsey Jr., David Delaurier, Jason Delaurier; and step-mother, Norma Halsey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Krista Sue Halsey.

In keeping with Jim's wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
