Heather E. McGrath

Heather Elizabeth McGrath, age 61, of Charlotte, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. She was born September 18, 1963, in Glen Ridge, New Jersey the daughter of Albert and Amanda (Cheney) Pearsall. She graduated in 1981 from Livingston High School in Livingston, New Jersey. On July 23, 1988, she married William Michael McGrath at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Livingston. Heather was best known for her kind and compassionate spirit. She always put others before herself. Heather’s family was her life. She loved them all deeply and always did her very best to see to it that they were well cared for. Heather volunteered at Helping Hands Food Pantry for many years. In her spare-time she enjoyed spending time at the beach watching the ocean and collecting sea shells. She will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Heather is survived by her husband of 37 years, William; son, William Jr.; siblings, Rebecca (Brad) Scott, Kari (Todd) Wright, Randy (Josanne) Pearsall, Stuart Pearsall; sisters-in-law, Susan McGrath, Maureen (Mark) Dunbar; brother-in-law, Brian (Chirstine) McGrath; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter, Kelsey McGrath.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 1 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
