Barry "Roger" Canterbury

Barry "Roger" Canterbury, age 81, of Olivet, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. He was born December 10, 1943, in Kanawha City, West Virginia, the son of Jess and Freda (Carrier) Canterbury. On August 12, 1966, he married Peggy Aileen Hebenstreit in Olivet. Roger loved traveling back home to West Virginia every chance he got. He also like spending time in Florida. 

Roger is survived by his wife of 60 years, Peggy; son, Rick Canterbury; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Pauley. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons: Jess Canterbury, Barry Canterbury; and grandson, Tyler Canterbury.

In keeping with the wishes of the family cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time.
