Barbara Ann Pierson, age 88, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 16, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, family, and service.

Born on November 26, 1937, Barbara was the fourth of twelve children and the oldest daughter in her family. She was the last child born at home and from an early age, she demonstrated a deep devotion to Christ and to loved ones, qualities that would define her 88 years.

At the age of fourteen, Barbara met the love of her life, Arden Pierson. He was steaming wallpaper off at her mother's home. Barbara made Arden a sandwich and when she handed it to him, he heard the Lord saying, “This woman will be your wife.” That promise was fulfilled when Barbara and Arden were married on June 3, 1954. Their marriage became a beautiful testimony of God's Love and faithfulness, lasting more than seven decades. Arden was not only Barbara's husband but also her best friend and the love of her life. Together they built a Christ-centered home, serving as the foundation of their marriage.

Barbara was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and faithful homemaker. She poured her heart into caring for her family and creating a warm and welcoming home. As an expert seamstress, she lovingly crafted hundreds of quilts and countless pairs of pajamas, each stitch reflecting the care and generosity that defined her life. Her handmade gifts became treasured keepsakes for generations of family members and friends.

Barbara and Arden were blessed with five children: Mary Hutchinson, Sandra Fletcher, Lori (James) Blumer, Arden Pierson Jr. (Tina), and Angela (Pat) Lawrence. She was also the proud grandmother of 19 grandchildren and was blessed with many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy.

Barbara followed Christ faithfully. Her life reflected his love through quiet acts of service, unwavering devotion to her family, and steadfast faith. She lived with grace, humility, and a servant's heart, pointing others to Jesus through both her words and actions.

Barbara's family finds comfort knowing she has heard the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant." She has been reunited with loved ones who have gone before her and now rests in the eternal presence of her Savior.

Her legacy of faith, love, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the generations she helped shape and the countless lives she touched.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23
