Amy L. Crowner

Amy Crowner, age 59, of Olivet, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 3, 2019, with her family by her side. She was born March 28, 1960, in Lansing. She graduated from Charlotte High School in 1978. Soon after graduation, on July 22, 1978, she married Larry Crowner at St. Marys Catholic Church in Charlotte. Amy loved her family with a deep devotion. She cherished her children and grandchildren and loved being together with them. Amy enjoyed gardening, sunshine, and Tuesdays with the children. She worked at Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital as a cook for over 25 years. Because of her unselfish love for others, she will live on in the lives of many through her organ donations. Amy is survived by her husband of 41 years, Larry; children: Holly (David) Evert of Olivet, Nicki (Garrett) Bensinger of Charlotte, Charles (Ashley) Crowner of Charlotte; grandchildren: Kylie (Matt) Berger, Parker Kimble, Kemper Dutton, Luke Evert, Timothy Bensinger II, Ty Evert, Cora Bensinger, Jacob Crowner, Dalilah Crowner, Lincoln Bensinger; great grandchildren: Sophie Berger, Beverly Berger; brothers: Brian (Roxanne) Mellstead, Dan (Sara) Mellstead, Tim (Leann) Mellstead, Steve (Michelle) Mellstead, James Mellstead; mother-in-law, Betty Crowner; sister-in-law, Cathy Crowner; brother-in-law, Mike (Mallory) Crowner, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Mellstead; children: David and Skye Crowner; grandson, David Evert II; father-in-law, David Crowner. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at 12 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home with Greg Rinehart officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. and Tuesday from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Dimondale Cemetery.
